Software Evaluation and Documentation

Assist a medical equipment manufacturer in evaluating and documenting an automated testing system.  Their vendor went out of business and left them with little documentation. This task involved a thorough  analysis of the existing software and subsequent documentation and enhancements.

Quality Control Systems

These products were developed for the television division of General Electric. Services were rendered in Virginia   and   New   York.   One   system   was   mainframe   based   and   the   other   microcomputer   based.  Together, these systems worked to significantly improve the quality of products produced while at the same time minimizing the amount of human involvement.

Engineering Support – Quality Control

In   the   manufacturing   environment;   created   software   to   analyze   picture   quality   on   an   experimental projection television system. The system involved setting up a real-time interface to a video digitizer and continuously   scanning   the   digitized   image   for   abnormalities.   When   one   was   encountered,   it   was  cataloged. When the program terminated, a complete report was printed out.

Quality Control / Scheduling

For a large electronics manufacturer; created software to aid in controlling quality and scheduling on a television   assembly   line.   Development   was   done   on   a   Honeywell   Level   6   using   GCOS   mod 400  operating system. Involved terminal screen creation, JCL creation and communications in an on-line environment.
