Sales Logix CRM Implementation

Managed a team of four people in the installation and extensive customization of the Sales Logix software.  Planned and directed the data conversion efforts and  import of several purchased prospecting databases.  Developed interface to external data sources.  Conducted training seminars at various locations throughout the United States for the sales force.

We made extensive customizations to this Delphi based product. This involved an intensive period of training for the programming team to learn the internal structure of the product.  I also led a number of training sessions teaching the team the basics of Delphi.

Additionally, I developed a custom module for Sales Logix and a series of Excel macros and VBA modules which facilitated the exchange of data between a large number of custom spreadsheets used by the sales force and Sales Logix.  This saved hours of re-keying and preserved the accuracy and integrity of the data.

Order Processing System

Efficiently coordinate and manage $8.3M in order processing, reporting and payment reconciliation activities. Instituted commonly accepted standards and procedures. Reduced order process time by 36 hours, while eliminating overtime, generating increased cash flow of approximately $175,000.

Error Resolution and Sales Recapture System

Design and manage development of automated Sales Recapture System. This system takes various rejected sales records and forwards them to another group of experienced sales reps to correct various mistakes made during the normal sales process.  This system has increased overall throughput in the group by 20% bringing in an additional $1,500 per day in recaptured sales.

WWW Restaurant Guide

Design the “look and feel” of a World Wide Web site for the review and promotion of restaurants on a national level. Conceptualize marketing materials and direct outside consultants in their development. Develop collateral  marketing  methods and conduct market testing.  Design database and automatic HTML “publishing” software. This was done in the days before modern tools like XML, XSLT, XHTML and the like were available.

A separate tool allowed for the ability to create  CD-ROMs  of the website for various regions of the country.
